I don't know about you but I am tingling with anticipation for the upcoming release of Baz Luhrman's cinematic adaptation of The Great Gatsby. He's one of those truly awesome directors who has a real flair for creating stunning movies that brim with clever character coding, wonderfully intricate design and sumptuous visuals. Gatsby looks like it's going to be pretty damn amazing and I'm absolutely in love with the official poster art - so today decided to have a wee play and see how well it would translate onto the human canvas. I'm pretty pleased with the result though there are a few hiccups in symmetry that I'd like to resolve, but as it's only a test piece I'm trying not get too annoyed with myself.... I'd absolutely love to extend the design further onto the body - but definitely need a model other than myself to do that otherwise it will take me years to finish! Hopefully I'll find someone willing fairly soon and will be able to create a nice piece to share with you all - otherwise it will have to wait until I get back to the UK this summer - and what a summer it's going to be!!
