Having a wonderful week on the creativity front :) On Tuesday I collaborated with the awesome Satya James on a shoot to show off a couple of her exquisite handmade pieces. It was a gloriously smooth shoot surrounded by a brilliantly bizarre array of freak taxidermy - I'm more than a little excited about the photos! Thank you to everyone involved for such a lovely day :)
Tomorrow I'll be heading up to Brisbane to meet artist Charmaine Orchard (check out her work - she's pretty damn awesome) who is very kindly letting me work with her on a short film called Robber, Driver and the Lonely Fiver. The script - written by Daniel Green - made me giggle merrily to myself and am really looking forward to meeting some exciting new people.
To top it off this weekend is Halloween!!!! Undoubtedly one of my favourite times of year to be a make-up artist :) I was feeling a little blue about not being in London and doing face-painting at the Wonky Turtle Weekender with my favourite girlies but after some rooting around on the internet I found a wonderful Brisbane based face and body painter Vanessa Hornett who runs 'Funky Face n Body Painting'. This glorious lady has agreed to let me work with her at Hellements in Fortitude Valley Saturday Night so there will be plenty of facepainting going on :)
I am a very happy girl.
Just spend a lovely morning doing face painting at the beautiful Bangalow market - the lovely and amazing designer Satya James was kind enough to let me share her stall, very much appreciated :) Satya and I will be collaborating early next week on a shoot in an amazing location to show off a couple of her beautiful handmade pieces - watch this space!
Look out for the new issue of Bizarre magazine - on the shelves in the UK on the 26th. I've just been told by awesome photographer Bartek Szadura that page 25 holds host to one of his stunning photos of Ed Cox who just happens to be wearing my make up :) hooray! x
The rest of the pictures from the August fantasy shoot with Prangsta Costumieres are now up in Make Up. Photos by the awesome Bartek Szadura.
Bestival photos are here!! A massive massive thank you to photographer Bartek Szadura for his wonderful work and the Prangsta crew for once again being beautiful, amazing, inspiring ladies!
Watch this space for photos from Bestival 2010 and the new Ital Tek music video for the track 'Babel' - these will include a full UV bodypainting :)
There are some new photos in Make-up from a shoot in August - more will be added soon! Make up by the Happy Slap team with Surefire Circus modeling and Josh Caudwell behind the camera. Visit Josh's website for the full set of photos.
The last couple of weeks have been a bit quiet on the make-up front so I've been giving sewing a go. First I gathered some off-cuts and embellishments to jazz up a pair of poor bedraggled fairy wings I found that were no more than wire and mutilated stocking material :
Next I cautiously approached the sewing machine with an old cushion cover , more offcuts and some help from

Am in the great down under for the foreseeable future - looking for festivals to work at, people to collaborate with and naked bodies to paint!
