Tomorrow I'll be reuniting with the amazing Satya James to collaborate on a geisha themed shoot which is going to be very exciting! I should also finally get some photos from the last shoot we did together...a mere 6 months ago, so watch this space. A couple of weeks ago I was visited by an enormous urge to paint and for the first time in quite a while I decided it might be nice to have a go painting a canvas for a change. I used acrylics, oils, inks and newspaper on canvas.
Just over a year ago I was living in the Yarra Valley near Melbourne doing fruit picking. One evening my friends and I were driving home after work and all of a sudden this massive beautiful white stag leapt out into the middle of the road, looked at us and then ran off. It gave us all quite a jump as I don't think any of us were ever expecting to see anything like it in Australia! He was absolutely magnificent - and so white that he almost glowed in the evening air, this painting is for him. Have been having a play with emulating images from the Flickr group 'My Face is My Canvas'. Here are my entries from the last few weeks:
