Vegan Make Up
Animal testing is a vile practice and I point blank refuse to support any company that practices it. Many make-up products also contain animal derived products which act as emollients or colourants - however there is no excuse for this as cruelty free alternatives alternatives are readily available on the market. In addition there are also countless companies which use potentially harmful chemicals in their products and among these are GM derived ingredients. Look for make up which is made from natural, organic ingredients - after all the skin is the bodies largest organ and anything you put on it is going to be absorbed into your body!
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
All of OCC's products are 100% vegan and cruelty free, they outright pledge that they will "never to use animal-derived ingredients (including Lanolin, Beeswax, Carmine and more) in our products and accessories." OCC is the home of Lip Tar - so far the only products of theirs which I've used - this brilliant invention is packed full of pigment, Vitamin E, hemp & peppermint oils and free of any nasty chemical preservatives. You only need a teeny tiny dot for maximum coverage, it applies smoothly and dries fast. Even better - as its in a liquid form you can mix up your own shades to achieve any colour you want allowing far more flexibility than lipstick. They also have a great selection of bright pigments, liquid bases that can be used in airbrushes, soft synthetic fibre brushes, nail varnish, glitters and a highly recommended primer and mixing medium. I have a feeling I'm soon to be a very loyal customer..... www.occmakeup.com

E.L.F
E.L.F (Eyes. Lips. Face.) Cosmetics are certified vegan and cruelty free and have an extensive range of products available via national websites in Australia, the USA and some of Europe including the UK, France & Germany. I'm personally a big fan of their Studio High Definition Powder - its very fine and smooth, completely translucent and is perfect for setting makeup for the all seeing eye of the HD camera. Best of all E.L.F. products are incredibly reasonably priced, the HD Powder for will only set you back $12 whereas it's rival by Makeup Forever (not a vegan or cruelty free company, tut tut) would cost you $48!
